Who is LARRY NESS

Larry Ness has been a major figure in the sports betting and sports handicapping field, since
1984. In 1985, Larry joined the cast of Proline, the nation’s longest running pregame handicapping
show, which still airs in 2003, on the USA TV Network. That same year, Larry was part of the team of
handicappers that won the Castaway’s Pro Football Challenge, then, the most prestigious
handicapping contest, in Las Vegas.
Larry remained as a panelist on Proline, through 1995. In 1996, Larry was named host of Sports
Desk, a pregame show that also aired on USA. Over the next three years, Larry not only hosted that show,
but was also a guest panelist on Proline, plus hosted Proline’s Basketball Edition. In 2000, Larry
joined the panel of another national tv pregame show, Global Sportsedge. In 2002, the show was renamed
The WinningEdge and airs on many Fox Sports Net stations.
Larry is well known on TV for his expert game analysis and no-nonsense handicapping style. Larry
however, might be best known, for his radio work. Throughout the 1980’s, Larry was a much sought
after guest, on numerous West Coast and national radio shows. In 1990, Larry was named host of his own
sports talk show, Sports Central. Five nights a week, through 1996, Larry’s popular call-in show,
aired live, from the Sports Book of Bally’s Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas. What began as a local
and West Coast show grew to a nationally syndicated show, carried by as many as 100 stations, across
the country.
In 2003, Larry is returning to the airwaves, with The WinningEdge radio show, broadcast across
the nation, on many ESPN Radio and Fox Sports Radio stations (Friday evenings / Saturday mornings).
Larry’s handicapping skills have not diminished over time. In 1999, he was a semi-finalist
in the Stardust Invitational Football Contest. In 2000, Larry was documented # 1 by The Sports Monitor
in TWO, NFL regular season categories. Combining 2000’s NFL regular season and playoffs, along
with 2000’s College Football regular season and bowl games, Larry finished # 2 in the nation,
in NET PROFIT! During the NFL Playoff Seasons of 2000 and 2001, Larry’s NFL Playoff record, as
documented by The Sports Monitor, was an impressive 15-6-1, 71% ATS (picking EVERY playoff game!).
Larry has recently enjoyed a Great NBA Playoff Season (2003) and is currently having one of his
best MLB Seasons ever! He’s excited to be joining the cast of outstanding handicappers, at Don
