Who is TRIPLE THREAT

Triple Threat is a team of 3 cappers that have been together for years privately & just started releasing their plays to the public in 2002. Each member focuses on a particular sport, so every sport is covered but customers get specialized service!

The NFL and College Basketball handicapper is Bill Milton. Bill is a featured writer for the NFL for Insiders Football News, and was the college basketball writer for sister publication the Inside Players Basketball Preview. Bill was the TOP RANKED College Hoops handicapper as monitored by SportsWatch for the first six weeks of the season and is still in the Top 5, while also holding down a Top 5 ranking in the Best Bet category as documented by The Sports Monitor. As you can see by that ranking, Bill’s big plays are very strong, and as such Triple Threat has won both their December and January 7* Games of the Month, with the last one being a super easy 15 point winner!

Our College Football and Arena Football League capper is Joe Patterson. He provides the College Power Ratings for Insiders Football News and was the first Power Rating publisher in the country to have Miami & Ohio State as the top 2 teams last year, as the rest of the polls did not catch up to Joe until very late in the season. He had a great start to the bowl season (4-0 start) and a great finish as well, as he had Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl and went a scintillating 8-1-1 on sides and totals n College All Star games. He is off to a good start in the Arena League as well, as Triple Threat won their top play in the AFL’s opening week with a 4* on Los Angeles and Vegas to go OVER. We expect to tear up this new league, as Vegas is not putting their best people on it and the lines are soft. Joe will also release plays in the NHL playoffs (the only hockey that really matters) once those finally get started, as it seems to me that the NHL regular season takes FOREVER! Mike Bannister is our baseball man, as he focuses on the diamond all season long. His nickname (and his email address) all reflect his love for the game, as we call him "Mr. Baseball" He really does not do any other sports, but when baseball comes around he will be ready.

The three of us have been pooling our resources and betting our games together for years, and this year we have finally decided to start releasing our plays to the public. As you can see, the only sport we do not do is the NBA. We have tried in the past, but none of us seem to have a good enough feel for it, so we have stopped playing it. Since we are not playing the games ourselves there is no way we would subject anyone else to our NBA opinions. We are in this for winners, not to chase every last dollar, which is what we would be doing if we handicapped the NBA.

Speaking of dollars, this would be a good time to go over rates. It is $50 per week, and you get everything that we have for a week, in all sports. We can give you a phone number to call, or we can email you the plays daily, whatever you prefer. Like other services, there are days that we pass, and if that happens (and there are games, we cannot control the schedule) you will have a day added to your service. The price for 30 days is $169, less than 6 bucks a day, but we do not add days for passing when you sign up for a month, as the price is so discounted already.

That is the least expensive way to get our plays, but since you are reading this you know there is another way, and that right here on this website, where of course all plays/packages are available on the Pay After You win basis. It is much less expensive to sign up for a direct package than do it on the site but of course a direct package does not have the flexibility of PAW.

One more key thing that we want to get across is the way we rate our plays. We release games on the star basis, with the range being 2* all the way through 7*, and we do use half stars when applicable to differentiate. Our Best Bets are games rated 5.5* or better. We save the 7* ratings for the following: Conference Games of the Year, Games of the Month, and overall Games of the Year. To better illustrate this point, we have been releasing college basketball plays to the public for over 3 months now, almost 100 days, and have had only 7 Best Bets and only three 7* plays. We are VERY judicious with these big plays, but they have done very well, so MAKE SURE you are ready to pounce the next time one comes along.

Finally, to let you know how we handicap. We try to be complete handicappers, not basing any one play on only one method. However, there are certain prevailing factors in how we do things. In the NFL and College Football, although of course talent and technical (angle) factors do matter, we are first and foremost situational cappers, trying to exploit the high & low points of particular teams. We love taking advantage of likely down weeks after a great performance, or up weeks after a seemingly awful showing that really was not that bad once all factors are known. We also really excel in NFL totals because we know the true strengths of each team’s offense, defense, and the often overlooked special teams. In college hoops we are matchup cappers, as we know when teams that have big frontcourts will dominate but also when they will be too slow to keep up with more athletic teams. Also, we love to take great defensive teams as dogs, but are not afraid to lay heavy wood when the situation calls for it. With so many teams to look at, it is essential that all the idiosyncrasies of each team are known, and we feel that we do.

Our hockey playoff selections are almost all driven by past history, as that is the one sport where things do seem to repeat themselves much more often than in the others, and Mike’s baseball plays are based primarily on a numerical system that he has painstakingly developed over the years and has proven quite successful. Of course, knowing how to interpret the numbers is critical, but we have done well in the past, and hope for it to continue now that we are "going public" as they say.
