Sports Played: Experts can play any of the Pointspread (-110
base) sports (CFB, NFL, CBB, NBA, AFL, WNBA, and CFL) as often
as they like, but never exceeding one play per day. MLB and
NHL are not included in these tournaments, as all plays in
this tournament are based on –110 (risking 11 units
to win 10 units). Experts are allowed two Double Up plays,
which are 22 to win 20. These are NOT required. There is a
separate Baseball tournament held in June, July and Aug.
|
Units for Plays: 10 Units per play, except for two
allowable 20-unit plays per tournament. Winners are graded
as 10 (or 20) Units and losers at -11 (or -22) Units.
How Plays will be Graded: 1Play a Day uses the closing lines from Pinnacle Sports.
When Plays MUST be submitted no later than:
- Weekdays - 6pm ET
- Weekday afternoon games - Minimum 2 hours before the scheduled start time
- Saturday and Sunday – 11am ET for each corresponding day
|

The Regular Season
|
Graded on Units: The winner is simply the
expert who has the most units at the end of the designated
Tournament. If there is a tie between two or more experts,
then the eligible % of prize money will be divided evenly.
Number of Plays Allowed Per Tournament: Each and every
tournament will be comprised of between 30 to 40 plays. Each
tournament will have the number of plays outlined
clearly in advance. Every expert must play the specified
amount of plays, no more, no less, with pushes counting as
a play. For a list of all
current and upcoming tournaments
Units Breakdown for Regular Season: 10 Unit per play for
every play, except, each Expert will be allowed two 20 Unit
plays per tournament, called Tournament Double Ups. It is NOT
mandatory to use your 20 Unit Plays. They are to be used if you
want to.
How to Get to the Finals: All experts in the Top five (5) Total
Unit win positions move on to the Final
Round. If there are multiple ties at various positions, more
than five experts will move on. And that means any number
of experts could move from the regular season to the playoff
round. For example, if two experts tie for first at 240 Units,
next there are three experts at 225, one at 220, four at 215
and one at 210. That would be five different Unit positions
on the leader board, but eleven (11) experts would be eligible
to move on to the finals.
Cost of Plays:
- Regular Season: $30 a play
- Regular Season Double Ups: $50 a play
|

The Finals Format: This is a Last Man Standing Tournament.
|
Plays must be submitted at the same time as the Regular Season.
However, they will only be released
to the public at 6:15pm EST on weekdays and 11:15est on Sat,
12:15 on Sunday's, and only after everyone has submitted their plays.
How to Win Survivor: Lose or Push and you are out. Pushes in this
tournament are considered losses.
Every Expert plays every single day until the Last man standing
wins. All plays are 10 Units each. We plan on doing a Yearly
grand final, based on Units accumulated and the units made
or lost in Finals counts in the overall record.
The Finals start the day after the tournament ends and ends when
only one person has not lost a game. If
all lose on the 1st day, everyone gets a pass into the next
day and so on, until 1 Expert stands alone.
The Winner from the Regular season gets (a FREE PASS)
a Loss in the Finals. Therefore, the Regular Season winner can
lose 1 game and still move on to the next round
of the elimination This is very important and gives added
incentive to win the League portion of the Tournament.
Note to Consumers: Plays from the Final Round will
be sold to the consumer for $40 a play.
